There are associations and hire companies that allow you to have a go at other sports - snowscooting, yoonering, snowkiting, tobogganing, disabled skiing, etc. - here in the Chalmazel area.
Have you ever come across snowscooting? This is a vehicle which is inspired by BMX (bicycle motor-cross). It looks deceptively like a scooter and is made up of a frame, handlebars and two boards. The great thing about it is that there is no learning curve, so it is a great way to have fun on the snow.

Yoonering is permitted on the slopes of Chalmazel ski resort.
You can hire the equipment at the Au Rendez-Vous des Sportifs shop which is at the foot of the slopes.
Discover a whole new kind of fun with snowkiting, a wind-powered winter sport using a kite-sail.
The Dreamkite school in Saint Étienne allows you to learn kitesurfing using various methods, such as skis, snowboards, mountainboards, etc.
The whole thing is connected to a kite wing which exerts traction so that you can travel across both flat and hilly terrain.
Dreamkite offer courses ranging from half-day introductory lessons to two-day refresher courses.

There are three wheelchairs available at the resort so that people with reduced mobility can be afforded the opportunity to enjoy the pleasures of downhill skiing.
Any disabled people who so wish can register with the Comité Départemental Handisport de la Loire (Loire Departmental Disabled Sports Committee) who organise and manage the disabled skiing season.
Le Comité Régional du Ski du Forez (Le Forez Regional Skiing Committee) then provides them with trained volunteers who can operate these wheelchairs and allow them to enjoy skiing.
